Photo Number 494

This is a photo from the Tin Ceiling in Park Rapids, Minnesota.  It is a tiny shop on Main Street.

This is a typical Art Deco inspired folder that was popular in the 1930’s into the 1940’s. I find this kind of photo frame and folder to be a work of art all by itself.  The photographer remains unknown..because his imprint is very light and unreadable.

  1. I will try to play with this in photoshop later - The frame is a beautiful work of art and the baby is cute.

I think the name might be Harris Bredlow. There is what looks like part of a "W" hanging out there. Do you think the date is "nearly" one year after his birthday? Oct 1938-ish? This is a relatively modern photo - Harris might still be alive.

  3. Iggy, Your guess is as good as mine. I would say that he was born October 19, 1938. Mothers used to be pretty exact about taking these one year old photos..even if they were not taken on the exact day, they were marked as such:)

  4. I hope he is found and very much alive. He would be only 2 months older then me.
