A pause

I must take a pause from the blog.  I will post when I can.  My husband is being evaluated for a Lung Transplant.  I have many loose ends to take care of and find it impossible to keep up with everything on my plate at this time.

If you happen by the blog because I have a photo of your relatives please send me an email captainconnie2001atyahoodotcom I will be checking my email however it may take me some time to get a photo off in the mail.

We are hopeful that my husband will be put on the transplant list after all the testing has been accomplished.  He has a genetic condition called Alpha- 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency that has damaged his lungs, he has just 21 % lung function.  If you know of anyone with breathing problems encourage them to be tested for this deficiency.  Tests are free and the forms can be found here.

Photo Number 3276

This is a snapshot from the antique shop in Royalton Minnesota.

This is a Fire Tower.  It is an easy one because it has steps....versus fire towers with ladders!  Years ago people were employed by the Forest Service...they would watch for smoke and fires and then report it.

Full Circle 178

This Full Circle began with an email.

Photo Number 2913   The Enebo Children

I mailed off the postcard to family. They shared the following information.

Anne Enebo Molmen 1902-1964 lived in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana. She and her husband, Harold, raised three children. Anne was a Red Cross Nurses Aide during WWII and she was involved in her community. Anne was president of the Pioneer Daughter's Club in Fargo, North Dakota. Her hobby was painting foliage and grasses for winter bouquets

What a surprise to find my husband's grandmother on your website. We received the photo and appreciate your time and talents finding homes for these old photos. I am sending you a donation to help offset expenses.
