Even though the person has written Williamstone I think the name of the town is Williamston, located in the Lower Peninsula.
The clothing seems to suggest that the photo was taken around 1900.

She has some lovely spit curls at the side of her face. This photo is most likely from the 1920’s sometime. Spit curls were often made by wetting your fingers and then forming the curl at the edge of your face…hence the name spit curls.

I will guess this photo is from the 1880’s.
I bought it because of the stile in the background. It brought back a memory of the stile in my Granparents pasture.
