A beautiful baby in a long white gown that is simply beautiful! The photographer was Andrews Studio in Fergus Falls (Minnesota) Emilia H Andrews was a photographer in Fergus Falls for only one year 1914.

A NOKO card which was used from 1907 to the 1920’s.

This card may or may not be Inez Holte, if she was born in 1913 or 1914 then it is a possibility.  If not it is addressed to a Miss Inez Holte and the child is unknown.

Inez Holte (16 Oct 1907 - 15 Mar 2003 in Velva, ND) married James Bradshaw 27 March 1937 in Minot, North Dakota.

She was the last of ten children raised by Martinus Andersen Holte (03 Apr 1863 in Holtetajet, Stange, Norway - 30 Mar 1944 in Voltaire, ND) and Anne Paulsdatter Viger (30 Mar 1863 in Gran Hadeland, Norway - 11 Mar 1922 in Voltaire, ND)

This is at Claras house I did not know it was taken.  The little girl is Franks wifes sister.  She is from Eau Claire She came back with us.  Lena has the sweetest little boy.  We both fell in love with him. Esther was in the hospital when I was there the next day a 9# boy came sending these with

Oliza Mathilda Jenkins nee' Bradley (Apr. 2, 1886 - Sep. 1, 1967) married Walter Jenkins (Sep. 14, 1890 - Jun. 10, 1973) on June 2, 1917. They are both buried in Parkers Prairie Cemetery, Parkers Prairie, Otter Tail County, Minnesota.

They had one daughter, Mrs. Wilmer (Darlene) Johnson of Garfield, MN at the time Walter passed on.

The one of a kind researcher Iggy found James on Ancestry!  His mother, Marie is in this postcard photo.

James wrote:

I have just received the most amazing postcard that you and your researchers were able to send to me.  I am amazed, very pleased and extremely happy about all this.  Let me give you some background to help you understand my emotions.

I was born in North Dakota, my mother a Fagstad was one of the children that is pictured on that postcard.  My family moved to Saint Paul when I was one year old in 1933.  I grew up in Minnesota and spent many summers in northern Minnesota.  I have been in Osage a few times when I was young. (That is the town I live near.)

My mother taught English at the high school in Minot until she married in 1931.  She was greatly loved by her students and fellow teachers.  Apparently, her departure to marry was marked by much sadness at the school.  Needless to say her expectations were that her son excel in English.

I spend a lot of time working on my family geneology and have family photos stored on my computer.  The postcard is now safely stored.

My mother had six sisters and two brothers.  She passed away in 1998 at the age of 99.  Bertha Fagstad, a sister is the other girl in the photo.  She left the farm and married a young man, also named Fagstad.  They moved to California and loved their lives there.  By coincidence, her daughter is coming to visit us next week.  She will be thrilled to see the photo. The young boy, Paddy Fagstad, passed a few years after this photo was taken.  I think the photo was taken about 1910.

I am hoping you find more photos that are of interest to me.  I will follow your blogspot closely.  I have enclosed a small sum that will help on your expenses.  Please contact me if I can be helpful in your valuable efforts.

Someone got a mess of fish. My husband says they look like Bullheads.  My first thought about this photo: is that it was from the 1920’s because of the ladies hat.

I will guess that the automobile is a 1926 Buick.  I am not an old car expert.  If someone thinks differently please leave a comment!

He was a well-known soldier.

"Bourne was born on Nov. 19, 1909, at Wiota, Iowa, to Ernest Michael and Weltha Adeline (Kitty) Bourne. He spent most of his childhood on a farm near Madison. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in business administration. He married Averille Knepper on Nov. 16, 1934."

He died on Jul. 17, 2007.
He and his wife had four daughters.

My Grandmother's sister. She was the daughter of George Hart, and Grace (Beaulieu) hart. From the Waubun Area. Their homestead was at what is now US 59, and 113 just East of Waubun, on the Northwest side of the intersection. Home is still there. 

Incidentally, Grace Hart is also in another of your pictures... the "6 girls in hats #983". Most likely they are "modeling" hats mad by Grace's mother-in-law, Jane B. (Wamsley) Hart, who was well known, and rather proud of the hats she made.

The photographers imprint says; Anderson Fargo.  There was a Charles W. Anderson that was in Fargo from 1919 to 1921 and a David Anderson that was in Fargo from 1924 to 1945.

This is an AZO card from 1918 to 1930, it could have been taken by either of the Anderson Photographers.

Melvin Oliver Tollefsrud (2 May 1917 - 16 May 1999 in Gardner, Cass, North Dakota) was the son of Helmer O. (1887 - April 16, 1980) and Oline (1889 - February 18, 1973) Tollefsrud. Melvin had a younger sister Myrtle May (abt 1922).

They are all buried in the same cemetery, Nora Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gardner, Cass County, North Dakota.

This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Moorhead Minnesota.

More than likely siblings.  Note the smallest boy has lace up shoes instead of button shoes. President Roosevelt proclaimed the high button shoe out in 1933, when he saw it listed in the cost of living index.  The children are all wearing heavy dark stockings.  The boys both seem to be wearing knickers.  The girls dresses have one shape fits all look to their dresses, they are both wearing strands of pearls and have bows in their hair.  I wonder what the older boy thought of that stiff collar?

Louise Torgerson (b. April 3,1887 in Homedahl, Faribault, Minnesota - d. February 8, 1950 in James River Churchyard, Juanita, ND) married Nels Hans Molkjer (b: 1867) in 1909 and had a daughter from a previous marriage, Mabel Molkjer (b: 5 Feb 1907 d: Aug 1989), and with Nels, had Nels Molkjer Jr. 1910 – 1987, Ella Gina Molkjer 1912 – 1992, and Arthur Molkjer 1914 – 1982.

This very photo is in Ancestry.Com in several family trees. It is labeled (from left to right: Art, Mabel Salsbury, Nels Molkjer, Ella Molkjer).

Ramona Moffett was born about 1916 in Minnesota. In 1930, she was living in Glenwood, Pope, Minnesota with her parents Walter (age 61, born in Wisconsin) and Jessie (age 45, Iowa born). Her younger brother Walter was 9 (also born in Iowa).
