Wood was the photographer in Lake City. I found a John William Wood who was a photographer there in 1884 –1894. I suspect he was there other years too, this photo looks like it was taken about 1900.
This gal looks like she is totally bored, her hair is a bit messy and she wears a large bow in her hair and wears spectacles.

John Phillips was the photographer at Lake City Minn. He was in Lake City from 1878 – 1879 and was also in town in 1882 for the “great fire.”
This gal might be related to the gal I featured yesterday. This gal wears a beautiful lace collar and bow. Her gown has dropped shoulders…perhaps she liked the style and borrowed this dress from someone…dropped shoulders were usually seen in the 1860’s.
Thanks for stopping by.

This is a snapshot from the antique shop in Pequot Lakes Minnesota.
Three men with knives butchering. The carcass has been hung to cool, it has been gutted and skinned. It is ready to quarter up.
I grew up on a farm, in the fall a butchering would take place so you had meat for the winter. I remember the day I came home from school and saw two favorite black angus steers hanging…Billie and Willie…a person should never name food.

This Full Circle began when Iggy tracked down a relative by email and I got an email from her.
Hello, Connie.
I cannot thank you enough for contacting me and your generosity in sending me the postcard. My grandmother didn't talk much about her family and I hadn't yet learned the importance of asking questions before she died.
Again, thank you so much!
Heather
She also left a comment on the blog.
Hello. Thank you so much for finding this and tracking me down. Florence Egge was my maternal grandmother's mother so, if my genealogy is correct, I am a distant cousin to Wilma
