This is a photo from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.
Three gals ..maybe sisters..or friends. On the back is the notation To Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Schultz.
Finger waves gained popularity in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The bobbed hairstyle was perfect for finger waves.
Thanks for stopping by. Do come again:)
Growing up, we had elderly sisters as neighbors (Nora & Dora) and they still had finger waves!
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Lets assume two sisters and a friend... Miller(s) and Shultz(s). At first I thought the two at the bottom would be sisters as they look so much alike - but the two on the right are wearing similar dresses with lace collars (but not of the same design) - and only one is wearing a necklace.
ReplyDeleteA real whom is whom!
I was wondering about the eyes on the two girls on the right. I'm guessing they're sisters. But I'm also wondering if the photographer may have attempted retouching the photos and goofed? Were they able to do that in photography back then?
ReplyDeleteIt is possible I have seem some repairs..and wonder how they did them:)
