C.O. Nye was the photographer from Aberdeen D.T. (Dakota Territory) So this Cabinet Card can be dated before South Dakota became a State on November 02, 1889.
Walter Bower or Bouier
Note that the location is a Parlor Car. A parlor car would have tables and chairs and possibly even a viewing platform off the back of the car.

Walter Rueben Bower (26 Jul 1886 in Bath, SD - 15 Oct 1963) married Myrtle Belle Meyers. They lived in Grass Valley, Nevada, California (50-60 miles northeast of Sacramento) where he was the owner and manager of a feed and fuel retail store. They had two daughters, Gladys, who later married a Mr Chatenay, (23 Sep 1927 - 12 Jan 1994) and Joyce, who later married a Mr Lawson, (25 Jan 1930 - 24 Sep 1989).
