These photos were in the “ My life Margret Lundborg” group of photos that I purchased at an antique shop in Brainerd Minnesota.
We can see for the first time the photographers shadowy head..but it still doesn’t give us a clue..man or woman photographer??
Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)
Update:
My Dad says that the car is a 1939 Pontiac.

He is really proud (or happy) to have that car! I bet they were hard to come by in 1946, at least until the war time manufactuering got switched back over to peace time goods. I think the shadow looks like a woman's head - but perhaps only the shadow knows...
ReplyDeleteWhat a jokester this fella must have been! Notice he is wearing this hat sideways. I love photos that show a person's personality.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo.
ReplyDeleteI think your dad is on the right track - my dad thinks this is a 1940 Pontiac Deluxe Six 4-door Sedan. The radiator grill was changed between 1939 and 1940 but I haven't found any images of cars from either year on-line yet.
ReplyDeleteThis photo and others were mailed today, October 15 2015 to Allen in Minneapolis MN a relative of Eugene Lilienthal
