Photo Number 351

Car and people 1926-27 Buick
This is a photo from an Antique Shop.  My Dad thinks that this is a 1926 or 1927 ( updated to 1925) Buick.  So this photo was probably taken sometime in the late 1920’s.  The ladies look warm in their fur trimmed coats.  Wouldn’t you love to go for a Sunday drive in this car?  I know I would!

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

Update from Anonymous:
Beautiful picture! I believe the car is a 7 passenger Buick Touring, because of the nickel plated headlight and parking light housings. The five passenger touring would have painted housings. The split windshield would date it to a 1925 or 1926, but probably a 1925 because of the the plated strip between the back of the hood and the front edge of the cowl. 1927 Buicks had one piece windshields with no horizontal split.

  2. I love the fact that the car dominates the right hand side of the photo while the humans make do with the left! Really like this photo, though the car is definitely the star. :-)

  5. Maybelline, I am not sure exactly what they are..some kind of kick plate or toe guard..all the Buick's seem to be equipped with them right from the factory in 1926-27 Two door models have two and one door models have one. :)

  7. Lovely! I was just reading some family history this weekend and a distant cousin was describing riding in my Great Great Grandmother's Ford Touring Car. I would have loved to see a picture of that! Old cars have such style.
