Photo Number 509

This is a photo from the Antique Shop in Park Rapids, Minnesota.

Buggy PR

This buggy may be an older style with the large wheel in back.  The photo is from right around 1910.  I purchased a number of photos that are from the same family..one of them was a fairly good photographer. There are dates on the back of several..but no names. There is a lady off to the left and another off to the right..the one off to the right appears in many of the photos..I believe she is the Grandmother.

Such a cute baby with a big smile.  I wonder if the umbrella or parasol “thingy” was attached to the buggy.

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  2. A very cute chubby-cheeked baby. I have a photo of me looking equally chubby in my pram in my banner, but I didn't have a fancy parasol! Jo

  4. She looks happy. It never ceased to amaze me how baby carraiges in the older times looks like miniature wicker wagons. Now they have little strollers.

  7. A wonderfully complex vehicle which must have monopolised the sidewalk when in use. You have the ability to track down the most delightful photographs.

  8. A vintage stroller/pram that I saw a few years ago had a place to attach the rod for the parasol cover, so I'd say yes in general the parasol attached. There surely were some which did not have it.
