The lady in the photo is Mrs. Robert Gable.
I will guess that this photo was taken in about 1890-1895 before 1888

This might be Lydia Gable, the wife of Robert Gable both born about 1818. Robert was a "Tavern Keeper."

I think the photographer may have been William H. Sweet. If so, he was born in 1820-ish and by 1880 would have been getting on in years.

ReplyDeleteThe photo has an emblem next to 'Sweet' with the letters A and S and if you look closely you can discover the letter J as well.
