Hi Mildred, I think a Peter Pan Collar has rounded corners and the collar meets up in the front...I am not sure what to call the collar in the photo. Perhaps I will have to do some research:)

It is a wonderful photo. Its informal placement of kids makes it so homespun looking and spontaneous camera work.

The woman's high-waisted dress, its long length, its print, its sleeves and its general style indicate this snapshot was taken much earier -- probably about 1916 or 1917, give or take a couple of years.
