This one is going to bug me as much as Photo 934 (Catherine Branton)!Even the photographer was hard to find. Arthur E. Boyce is listed in the 1900 US census as Arthur Boyer. He was born in New York in 1862. While he is shown as married, he is living alone in Bismarck, ND.That "C" in Charran is shaky. :) I tried G, S, and T too - without any luck.
An odd shot because of the man's legs. They look foreshortened. Then again, perhaps he did have very short legs. He looks completely out of proportion.
I thought all of their heads looked large..but they are all equally large:)
I think the "nearly" invisible chair the man is sitting on is too short for him. It certainly gives this somewhat poorly centered, photo an off-kilter look. :)
The spelling might be Charron.
