‘44 Vince, Vivian and Gary
WWII ended in September of 1945. I hope that Vince made it home for Christmas that year. From the looks of the surroundings this photo was most likely taken in the spring of 1944..I say that because of the size of the leaves on the trees.
Thanks for stopping by. Do come again:)
This is such a pleasant-looking young family, and Vivian is wearing an attractive frock that must have been really pretty in color. I don't know anything about World War II uniforms but assuming this is a family in the U.S.A., I wonder which service Vince was in: the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard or U.S. Merchant Marine. The young trees nearest in the background must be pretty big by now!
ReplyDeleteSweet photo. We had a neighbor girl who was my brother's age that after she married always sent us Christmas photo postcards - wish I saved them.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the remains of a corn field in the background.
