Mrs Walter Brooks

Dear Friend

Died in California

The postcard is an Azo with triangles pointing up which dates it 1904 to 1918.

Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)

  1. She seems to be unhappy about having her picture taken and in appearance is perhaps the most unhappy adult I've ever seen in a photograph taken in a photographer's studio.

  2. Lovely lady and chair. She is so petite.

  3. She is pretty. Rather pensive. The photographer had a "prime" location on the Atlantic City boardwalk, the Steel Pier being world famous.

Unfortunately, there isn't much to go on, as far as identifying her - there are a great many Walter Brooks - and it's not clear she actually moved to California. Her photo being taken at Atlantic City is like one taken today in Las Vegas - tourist come/came from all over - I would be comfortable thinking she was most likely from PA, NY, or NJ, but wouldn't bet more than a nickle on it.

  4. The lady in the photo looks sad though she so lovely indeed.
