Photo Number 533

This is a photo from the Antique Shop in Solway.  It is a CdV.
Pioneer Family CdV Solway
Another pioneer family, this time with a baby. I wonder what is tied around the gals waist..a hat or some type of purse?
Pioneer Family CdV back Solway
The photographer is Leo. Anschuetz of Boscobel, Wisconsin.  I found that he was a photographer there in 1870.  So that is the year we will pick for this CdV also.

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

Blogger has been a pain in the you know what the past few days..:(

Update from Norkio:
This dress is an example of the more common classes clothing - solid in the middle class. Not fancy but with some of the features of the upper classes.

  1. Great old photo Connie. I marvel at the intricacy of her dress (the ruffles)

Hope you, Gene and Chance have a restful weekend.

  3. It could be gloves tucked into a tie? Not sure, I have never seen that before. This dress is an example of the more common classes clothing - solid in the middle class. Not fancy but with some of the features of the upper classes.
