What a perky lil guy! Wish there were a location listed, too. One would think there must be dozens of guys by that name from the 1940s--although, come to find out, there were only two young Richard Bartles in the 1940 census, one from Indianapolis and one from Saginaw, Michigan. Of course, he could have been born after 1940...

The Bartles are related to the Hird's as well. 2 of Mary (Hird) Treganza's sisters married Bartles. The lower handwriting sample is also Barbara Hird's handwriting.
