Photo Number 244

I have always loved a house with a porch, someplace to sit and relax on a summer evening.  This photo would appear to be showing off the new sidewalk instead of the fabulous porch and the beautiful woman..this photo looks to be from the 1940's.  I bet there was a beautiful lead glass piece in the top part of the window.
Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. The porch looks pretty new or at least freshly painted as does the house - maybe they did a remodel.

  5. I love porches too but during our recent RV trip south I mentioned how few people we saw out on their porches, this is something I comment on around home too and even when we travel back to PA. We spent so much time on our porch. Jerry had the reason, I think, he said, "well porches were before air conditioning, now no one wants to sit outside in the heat and bugs when they have the A/C/
