Postcard me and my two kids DL Antiques back
Dear Kid.  This is me and my two kids.  Anna Lageson  Agnes Lageson  Clara Brynestud it was sent to Miss Tina Brandvold City
It is a Kruxo card used from  1908 to 1920.
Real Photo postcards were popular in the early 1900’s.  Kodak was first they had a folding pocket camera that took photos postcard size and then Postcards could be ordered to be shared with friends and relatives. Later any negative could be made into a postcard. After 1907 it was all the rage to send your photo through the mail with a personal message.
Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)
Update from Iggy:
Agnes Caroline nee Lageson Fosse(28 Sep 1890-25 Aug 1981) lived in Bath, Freeborn, Minnesota and later Albert Lea with her husband Otto was a younger sister of Anna Jensina nee Lageson Jensen (Sep 1888) who also later lived in Albert Lea with her husband Arthur William (6 Dec 1891-14 Dec 1963). The two sisters lived a couple houses apart in Albert Lea.

  1. This is a puzzler. My paternal grandfather used to call his wife "Kid."

I'm not sure how the other three women are related - beyond a mother and two girls (i.e., which is which?)

  2. Clara E nee BrynestAd Sande (abt 1888 in Minnesota) who lived in Berlin, Steele, Minnesota. There is a Tina/Tena Brandvold (abt 1884 in Minnesota) who lived in New Richland, Waseca, Minnesota which is about 7 miles away.

If this combo is "them", there is an Agnes Lageson (abt 1897 in Minnesota) who lived in Berlin, Steele, Minnesota, that would be nearby. This Agnes was born Agnes Miller which confuses me. Is the mother talking about her daughter-in-laws?

  3. In my father-in-law's letters home during the war, he often called his younger brother, "the kid," so when I saw this postcard, my immediate thought was that it was being sent to the writer's younger sister. Could it be possible that the writer's two daughters are married--both to brothers Lageson? Of course, it would not be unusual for a mom to have re-married. There were so many young widows back then.

Love the hats! I have a "hat" pic of my paternal grandmother and her sister in law, showing off their grand hats. My, what a show!

Albert Lea is about 20 miles south of Berlin, MN. Bath is 6 miles from Berlin. I think I like this combination much better than the other Agnes. I would assume the mother was "old neighbors" or "went to the same school or church" with the other two.

  6. Ah! Dat 'splains it!

Find A Grave Memorial# 106736195 shows the mother and father of the Agnes and Anna in my last comment are buried in the First Lutheran Cemetery, Ellendale, Steele County. Ellendale is in "Berlin township". The father, Andrew E Lageson was born and raise in Berlin - he was a neighbor of the Brynestad and Brandvold families.
