Photo Number 1379

This is a snapshot from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.

4d's 4 tos Group DL Antiques

Note the 4D’s + TOS

This might be a family photo of siblings.  The girls look alike.  The photo and it’s card are smaller than a Cabinet Card.   This one measures 4 5/16 by 5 3/4 inches.  From the larger sleeves on the girls clothing I will guess that this photograph was taken in 1895.

Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)

  1. The dude's nose looks just like the nose on the lady to his left..

I wonder if 4 D's is cutesy for Ford? or is it for the "Four tos" (photos?) (do folks have that bad an accent around whatever parts?)

  2. I read it "D's 4 tos (photos)" Maybe D is the photographer. The lady on the right seems to have a bustle in the front! What am I not seeing correctly?

    1. Looking again, it appears she has her leg crossed and that is her knee just below her hand in her lap. Could that be a bloomer dress? (I am not drinking.)
