Photo Number 1142

A Cabinet Card from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

I believe that this young man might be related to the gentleman from yesterday..brothers..cousins..or maybe friends.

Death Scroll Belgrade Minn DL Antiques

Carl Overland is the photographer who was in Belgrade Minnesota in the 1890’s.  The beveled card trimmed in gold was popular for 1885 to 1892.

Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)

  1. Well, same photographer, same style...but I think the two men look quite different, especially around the eyes. This one has a longer face than the other, too. I'd opt for friends first, cousins second, but who knows?! I've seen all sorts of relatives who don't look a bit like each other.

  2. FYI, I have a trunk full of Carl Overland's photographs that I'll be going through, and I'll check those here referencing him to see if there are ones from the same sitting, or similar ones, etc.
