Photo Number 456

This is another tintype that was found in the Nettie Parks Album.

Extra Tintype Man with baby

A man in a straw hat with a baby.  This is a very dark tintype, sometimes a very dark chocolate colored varnish was used to preserve the tintype. The entire card is 2 3/4 by 3 1/2 inches.  The tintype measures 1 1/2 by 2 1/4 inch.

I also have two odd things to show you today.

Extra Scenic Postcard

A postcard

Extra scenic postcard back

Don’t know where this was taken but it was close by.

extra old ad from nebraska

This I was an interesting coupon that someone thought was worth saving.

Tomorrow we will have the last photo from the Nettie Parks Album.

Thanks for stopping by, do come again:)

  1. And thanks for sending me the scanned postcard backs, I have used them as textures already.

Today we are going to see a antique mall to search out some more.

    Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams

  2. What a shame that it is coming to an end. I do enjoy the photo albums the best.

  3. vanishing cream.
I have something like that for my brown spots!
    (never use it)

  4. Today, Velvetina bottles and tins are collector items (the coupon may well also be one) listed on ebay and other antique collector sale sites.

Given it was made in Omaha, Nebraska around 1905-ish I bet Nettie used the stuff. :)

Just the square tin (empty) sold recently on eBay for over 5 times the price of this coupon.
