14 X 17 bust of elderly lady
So the photo was taken in Missouri and someone in Illinois Mrs. Wm Taylor ordered a very large photo of the elderly woman.

  1. Wouldn't that be LaSalle--just done with a fancy "L"? There is a city and county named LaSalle in Illinois. Unfortunately, there are several gentlemen by the name of William Taylor buried in LaSalle, so it's not much help. Wish there was a bit more information about the woman, and a little less on the "old lady" whose likeness was purchased.

While I can't see the link to Skidmore, Missouri (it is some distance away) there is a William W Taylor (Find A Grave Memorial# 60644335) living in LaSalle (fancy "L" like Jacqi says) and a Jennie Taylor nee Mills (Find A Grave Memorial# 60644364). But I can't piece together if they were husband and wife or not - William W. had a daughter named Jennie to confuse things - she might be the younger woman in the photo.
