This is an AZO postcard that we can date from 1904 to 1918.
Thanks for stopping by. Do come again:)
Update from Iggy:
The 1910 US census shows Clayton E Felton (age 8) living with his parents George A and Emma in Madison, St. Joseph county, Indiana along with sister "Alvera" (age 4).
Clayton is listed as a school teacher and later principal in South Bend, Indiana.
He married M. Mae, and is buried next to his parents.
Sister Elvera (30 Apr 1905 - 10 Dec 2001), married a George Marker and they are buried in nearby Woodland, St. Joseph County, Indiana.
The 1940 US Census shows they had a daughter named Jennifer (b. circa 1932)
Elvera's daughter, Jennifer Marker, married Milton E. Shaul (2 Oct 1924 - 13 Mar 1990) and had a family that is still living in South Bend area.
I think the boy might be the same as the one in the previous photo (1204).

ReplyDeleteP.s., Katie Stuber (Catherine L. Stuber) was a neighbor circa 1910 in Madison, St. Joseph County. She was born 1893 and married Harry J Witwer on Feb 17 1912. Katie died in March 1977 in Mishawaka, St Joseph County.
ReplyDeleteI've not a clue as to how this photo ended up in Minnesota. None of the Witwer's seem to have ever lived there.
The arm: that was the first thing I noticed, too. Wonder if we'll ever find out...this does look like Full Circle material...
ReplyDeleteThis is my great grandmother, I lived with her for awhile. I did keep some of her belongings when she passed. She has two arms, she may of had a slims on under the dress from an injury. She and her husband George lived in South Bend and Florida.
ReplyDeleteHello Christine Send me your address by email and I will mail you the postcard. My email is off to the left click near the yellow flower:)
DeleteMilton Shaul was my grandfather, Shaul is my maiden name. He has a son Dennis who is my dad and now resides in Arizona.
