This is the last of the Ohio photos, there are still many California photos in this group.

This is marked Julie in Uncle Irving’s boots.  Irving was a brother to Roy and Martha in the photos yesterday.  Julie is a niece.  I am not sure who her parents are? Julie Barclay is listed in her Grandfather Raymond’s obituary as being married to Brian Sarbaugh of Reynoldsburg Ohio.

This lady in the wheelchair is an unknown.  I have included it just incase family shows up and recognizes the surroundings of the photo.  This could be Clara Crozier??  Or it might be someone else.

All of the Polaroids seem to be from the same person…who I think is probably Mary Rose Barclay.

Same house probably the same day in 1975 Gene,  Martha, Joe 7 yrs., Chuck 3 yrs.  Feb 2 1975  Johnsons.  Joe wanted to be sure he smiled for you.
Martha (Photo B) and Roy (Photo A) were sister and brother.

Mary Rose Barclay (Barkley) took this photo for “Eddie”  Aloha.

This is a pumpkin cake made out of real pumpkin = so good for my homecoming.  She made a tiger cake which fell apart and we ate it in chunks –but  IT WAS GOOD  - no icing Return please They spoil me back there.

Hmmm…I bet Mary Rose is related to Roy Barclay and his wife Margaret and son Jimmy.  I bet Mary Rose also knows the Johnsons…not sure how they are connected/related but they are. Mary Rose was married to Raynond Barclay they had three sons and a daughter.  Joseph, Roy, Irving and Martha.  Martha is in photo B and Roy in in photo A. 

There are a few miscellaneous photos that are unidentified… An old woman in a wheelchair and a couple smiling for the camera.

Two photos of these dogs…and some snow and maybe the same fence as in the next photo.

Eddie, I was puzzled by that name.  I believe it is a nickname for Edna.

We will begin a new adventure and see if we can find a home for the photos from Katherine in California.  She was given the photos by a friend whose family came to an end.

I have separated the photos into groups and we will see if there are connections or not?

Clara Crozier

There was a picture on the set but it didn’t show up.

Clara Crozier was born March 12, 1891 in Ohio and died May 17, 1971 in Zanesville Muskingun County Ohio

Her parents were John W. Crozier and Hulda E. Martin Crozier (1854 to 1952)

My thoughts: Someone in Ohio took these photos and mailed them to someone in California.

Here is one more Crozier clue.

Possibly this is the same gal or her sister in February 1971.

Full Circle 80

With a great lead by Iggy a friend of mine was able to locate Arlene, so they had a nice visit over the phone.  Later that day I called Arlene and talked to her.  Yes she wanted both old photos!  She doesn’t have a computer.

Then she shared this story:  When she was born her brother was six years old.  He said if the baby is a girl I’m going to throw her in the mud puddle.  Sylvia (Arlene’s Mom) asked him about it after Arlene was born.  He said “No, I didn’t know she was going to be that cute!”

It is always great to hear back from people after they have received the old photos!

Alta Blencoe, born c. 1913, was the daughter of Henry Blencoe and Harriet May Simser of Fairmont, Martin, MN. 

She married Edward Carlson and they had two daughters, Blythe and Dawn. The 1940 US Census says she lived in Nevada, Story, Iowa - and she is listed in the 1940 Ames, Iowa city directory having moved there sometime after 1935.

Edward Odean Jr.  6 months old

Off to the side it says Nellie Odean and son.

This is a AZO postcard with triangle up in the stamp box which was usually used from 1904 to 1918.

Edward Odean Senior (Jun 1879 - lived in Parkers Prairie, Otter Tail, Minnesota) and Nellie Johnson (29 Apr 1884 in MN - 25 Mar 1971 in Los Angeles) had Edward H Jr. on 18 Oct 1911. He married Mary Elizabeth Pettijohn and later died on 7 Jan 1997 in Union City, Alameda, CA. They had a daughter named Mary in 1939. Edward Jr. was an accountant/controller.
