This photo was taken in Irvine Park ( Possibly in California or Wisconsin) in the early 1900’s…maybe 1910.

I think this is the Irving Park in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. It was created in 1906 when William Irving donated the land for a park and zoo. The water in the background would be Glen Loch if this is the case.
I was wondering about that Irvine Park...California was the first thing I thought of, but I'm guessing it would be more likely to be the Wisconsin possibility. Interesting composition.

ReplyDeleteThat is such a remarkable photo with the setting and the placement of people in the photo. Costumes are everyday dress for going to the park.
