Elsie and Sarah Krentsberg Kreutsberg
The gals all dolled up for a photo made me smile. Late 1940’s or early 1950’s. I remember having a blue dress the color of the ocean with those silver or gold threads running through the fabric.
Thanks for stopping by. Do come again:)
Update from Iggy:
Elsie Christina Kreutsberg (6 Apr 1900 - 16 Jul 1997) was the daughter of John P. (18 Oct 1873) and lived in Edgeley, LaMoure, North Dakota.
Sarah May was a much younger sister (1917)
This pic made me smile, too. I just bought new eyeglass frames - funny how most of what I looked at reminds me of their eyeglasses!
ReplyDeleteElsie Christina Kreutsberg (6 Apr 1900 - 16 Jul 1997) was the daughter of John P. (18 Oct 1873) and lived in Edgeley, LaMoure, North Dakota. You had another photo from that town perhaps about 15 back?
ReplyDeleteP.s. Sarah May was a much younger sister (1917)
DeleteI call the glasses my uncle Marvin's glasses and they are back in now. The two really make a great photo to see. I had to look close to see if one was a lot older but I guess there is just an age difference of a few years. Not mother and daughter.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to find a photograph with names included...and Iggy's near-instant response with the rest of the information!
ReplyDeleteInteresting how the glasses became the focal point.
My grandmother was a stickler for labeling photographs. :) She had every picture in all of her albums marked.
DeleteI wasn't able to find anything more about these two - It doesn't look like Elsie ever married.
ReplyDeleteThis was also one of my grandmother's pictures, I'd recognize her handwriting anywhere. I'm not entirely sure how or if the Kreutsberg's fit into the family. They may have been family friends, as Edgeley is a very small town.
