Update from Iggy:

Henrietta Matilda Kroning (12 Apr 1896 in Elba, Minnesota - ?) was the daughter of Lewis Edward Kroning (1869 - 1926) and Matilda Agusta Splittstoesser (1871 - 1958). Henrietta is shown in the 1920 US Census as a school teacher living on a farm near Winona.

Henrietta Matilda Schwantz nee Kroning (12 Apr 1896 - 20 Nov 1983) was married to Alfred Julius Schwantz (19 Mar 1892 - 23 Jul 1983) in 1930, they were living in Elgin, Wabasha, Minnesota.

Elma Hagen (abt 1902 in Minnesota - ?) is shown living with sister Margaret in Holloway, Swift, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John J and Mathea Hagen. In the 1930 US Census, Elma is shown as a school teacher living on a farm in Hegbert, Swift, Minnesota.  Elma married John Brustuen.

Margaret married a Leborious. I think the man's name was John J.

    1. The address is located just off the Winona State University. "Winona State University was founded in 1858 when the first Minnesota State Legislature established normal schools 'to prepare teachers for the common schools of the state.'”

I think the Hagen "girls" (sisters?) might be:

Elma Hagen (abt 1902 in Minnesota - ?) is shown living with sister Margaret in Holloway, Swift, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John J and Mathea Hagen. In the 1930 US Census, Elma is shown as a school teacher living on a farm in Hegbert, Swift, Minnesota.

Margaret (abt 1896) was Elma's older sister and a contemparary of Henrietta. I've not determined what became of any of the three.

Margaret married a Leborious. I think the man's name was John J. and that they ran a flower show in Duluth MN.

  5. I enjoy reading the different things that can be found for the people who are sitting on the porch. It is a neat porch.
