According to the 1940 US census, Almida Amelia Hagen was born abt 1923, attended college. Her parents were C. Edward and Tillie Olivia Hagen. She had four-five brothers and appears to have been the only girl.
She lived in Scambler, Otter Tail, Minnesota which is very near Pelican Rapids. Her brothers were Carl (died in 1998), Wilbur (died in 2007), Jay, Earl and Kermit.
Almeda/Almida married a Charles Woodward and moved to Alameda, California (c. 1998).
What is that on the table?

I remember button shoes and my mother using a button hook to fasten them. Sometimes, that procedure pinched!
