This is a snapshot from the antique shop in Duluth Minnesota.
Everyone is lined up on the hill for the photo. They have quite a unique fence off to the right…it looks to be built from posts and poles are woven in and out of the posts.
Thanks for stopping by.
Another very unique old photo. Have a good Friday.
ReplyDeleteI like this fence and the photo is beautiful
ReplyDeletemildred sent me over. really cool old photo and GREAT fence!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun place to take a vacation.
ReplyDeleteThis type of fence is (was) common in Norway (and probably also Sweden/Finland), and is called a "skigard" (fence made of "skis", long logs of wood). I think the buildings and landscape also look Norwegian, but it could be many places, I guess.
ReplyDeleteVery Scandinavian scenery. The fence is a type called "skigard" (look it up) and is today used as a decorative fence in rural areas in Norway and Sweden.
