This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.
The gentleman wears a double breasted fur lined coat with a fur collar and a bowler hat. The lady wears a coat trimmed in furs, carries a muff and has a huge hat decorated with something but I cannot even venture a guess.
The photographer must be The Kregel Photo Parlors St Paul and Minneapolis. The postcard is a Azo used from 1904 to 1918.
The Kregels were in business with a number of photo parlors in Minneapolis and St Paul Minnesota from 1910 to 1911. They seemed to be at the 88th East 7th St Paul Address the longest from 1911 to 1917. They offered a ten minute postcard service.
Thanks for stopping by.
Very odd that they are photographed with their coats on.
ReplyDeleteI can't get over that hat. Or work out how it sits on her head! She must be from Somewhere Else because I don't think she could have found that in a shop in Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteFashion is something I just dont get. Wear a lampshade and dead animal skins. Sounds like she just partied too hard!
ReplyDeleteWe just came across a family photo postcard dated 1910! I am in awe
