  1. Fred W and Louise W Bleese are buried in Salem Cemetery, Cass County.

I wonder if the previous photo might be Fred's parents, Henry Bleese and wife. Fred Bleese's sons lived in Washington state.

    The Bleese Family

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bleese with three sons and two daughters: Fred, Frank, Ferdinand, Gusta (Mrs. Gross) and Mathilda
(Mrs. Schatzke), came to America in May of 1882. The first year they lived at the Wm. Krueger farm, the home of her brother. The first winter they spent on their homestead, just a short distance northeast of the present site of Enderlin, the Petrichs and Bleeses lived together—twelve people in a claim shanty.

Their other children were born in this country: Millie, Rosa (Mrs. Mettler) George, Adolph and Herbert. All of the children are dead except Herbert, who is now at Lisbon, and Adolph, of Enderlin.

http://www.enderlinmuseum.org/ (info@enderlinmuseum.org) has a Hubert Bleese on the board of directors.

  5. I don't suppose you could have found a photo more clearly marked--or, thanks to Iggy, more likely to find its way home :)
