Photo Number 1684

This is a Real Photo Postcard from an antique shop someplace.   I am trying to clean up some files.

Postcard Azo Triangles up Hats

Ladies in hats..perhaps it is a four generation photo.  The little boy is the only one looking at the camera. This is an Azo Postcard from 1904 to 1918.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I wonder if fashion will ever "swing back" into the big floppy hats fad again?

I'm almost sure I hope not!

  2. I love the composition of this photo with each person having a different focal point - very nice.

  3. When my dad was a little boy, he got stuck in the middle of a hat photo--pretty much the same as this. He was all dressed up in a little-boy suit (with knickers, if I remember correctly), and his mother's hands were firmly planted on his shoulders, as he was standing right in front of her. His sister, mom and aunt were all posing with these outrageous contraptions on their heads--and looking quite proud of their head dressings.

I dunno, Iggy...wearing hats can be fun...for a moment. Then, we get over ourselves and wonder, "What was I thinking?" I don't see this phenomenon ever making a big come-back...I hope ;)
