Photo Number 906

This is a photo from the antique shop in Duluth Minnesota.

Wedding Balled up head piece Duluth Antiques

The groom is wearing a double breasted sack jacket which was all the rage about 1910.  The bride has pulled fashions from the late 1890’s the flowers across her chest, the long wedding bonnet with trailing vines and her almost pigeon breasted gown/blouse from the early 1900’s.  Her dress does not look white to me..I imagine it as a pastel color..blue perhaps..or beige.  I bought this photo because of the balled up tulle that is part of her wedding bonnet.

The photographer is E.D. Berg from Cloquet Minnesota.  He was there from 1900 to 1920.

Thanks for stopping by.  Do come again:)

  1. What a wedding bonnet! She seems "weighted down" by all she is wearing.

  2. I agree - that bonnet looks heavy. Could she be wearing a blouse and skirt rather than a dress?

  3. I am so envious of your never-ending supply of wedding photos! Her wedding bonnet is particularly unusual. She does seem to be slumping.

  4. They are an odd couple. He with his feet turned out like Chaplain's tramp. She with the wings on her head. It was obviously a very exciting day.
