This is a photograph from the Antique Shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.
Rarely do we see a couple sitting down in a wedding photograph. Perhaps she was feeling faint as you can see her leaning towards and on him.
This is most certainly a photo from around 1900. The brides gown is pigeon breasted. Her gown is white or perhaps ivory and it is trimmed with lace. She carries a bouquet of flowers. She also wears a corsage and a wedding bonnet adorned with flowers and tendrils.
The groom wears a suit and waistcoat/vest with a pocket watch, a corsage and a white bowtie.
Thanks for stopping by. Do come again:)
She is very pretty. Love her dress.
ReplyDeleteI love the way she's leaning toward him. So many of the wedding photographs look so formal.

Lovely photo, beautiful headdress and she is actually leaning on his thigh!
ReplyDeleteThis photo is the same as #904. Do you have duplicates from two different shops?
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, Thanks! I probably bought the same photo twice at the same shop, either that or I missed it when I had that computer glitch! Getting old I guess:)
DeleteGoodness the guy has a bug-eyed stare!
