ReplyDeleteI posted the message along the side on my Flickr stream and got a quick translation from my friends there. It says "for Grand mother and Grand father" It seems to be old German script.

DeleteAdelina looks about three years old. That would date the picture about 1898.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have a little help from friends! I was wondering if that was German writing, but I don't really know German, just recognize some of the letters as belonging to German. Hope this photo makes a round trip home soon!
