Photo Number 1248

This is a photograph from the Antique Shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.

Couple sitting down DL Antiques

Rarely do we see a couple sitting down in a wedding photograph.  Perhaps she was feeling faint as you can see her leaning towards and on him.

This is most certainly a photo from around 1900.  The brides gown is pigeon breasted. Her gown is white or perhaps ivory and it is trimmed with lace. She carries a bouquet of flowers.  She also wears a corsage and a wedding bonnet adorned with flowers and tendrils.

The groom wears a suit and waistcoat/vest with a pocket watch, a corsage and a white bowtie.

  2. I love the way she's leaning toward him. So many of the wedding photographs look so formal.

  4. This photo is the same as #904. Do you have duplicates from two different shops?

    1. Hi Nancy, Thanks! I probably bought the same photo twice at the same shop, either that or I missed it when I had that computer glitch! Getting old I guess:)
