This is a snapshot from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.

On the back it it says Paynesville Minnesota.   It looks like a group from the 1920’s out for a Sunday drive..and then they sat down in a field for a photo.  The men have those driving/newsboy hats and one of the ladies has a cloche style hat.

A driving/newsboy cap has a small brim and eight triangular shaped panels meet at the top with a covered button.

Summertime tenting long ago.  I am not sure if these cars are Model T’s or Model A’s.  One has one of those lean- to tents that is somehow attached to the vehicle.

I am 99% sure this photo shows the PA side - the large culvert half hidden on the far right (and far side of the river) carries a creek under the D&R canal - placing this shot around Washington Crossing and Yardley, PA - a short distance upstream from Trenton, NJ.

I think I must have jinxed something saying that summer was almost over..it is 90 degrees and miserable up here in Minnesota.

This is a snapshot from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.  Looks like the 1940’s or early 1950’s to me.  I can’t believe these gals are standing up in a boat, it must have been beached on the shore.  Where are their life jackets?   One has a stick and the other seems to be holding some kind of reeds or feathers or something.

My goodness everyone is all dressed up..with hats and some ladies even have gloves.  I wonder what the occasion was?  A Wedding? A Birthday Party?  Looks like the 1930’s to me..the hems of the dresses below the knee and the hats.
