This is a snapshot from the Tin Ceiling in Park Rapids Minnesota.

I think this photo may have ended up in the hands of an old lady.  Possibly James was not married. Possibly an old lady gave this photo to the daughter of one of her friends.

This is a photo from Buggy Wheel Antiques.

The photographer was M L Moldrem of Elbow Lake Minnesota.  He was in business 1914 to 1918, 1922 and 1926.  I think this is most likely from the 1914 to 1918 time frame.

Update from Anonymous:
Hulda Augusta was born May 11, 1880.  She married John Brennin.  She had two children Jack and Kenneth.  She died October 02, 1969 in Hoffman Minnesota. 


Anna Amanda was born May 14 1879.
She married Ellis Bowyer. 
Anna died in 1954. 


Both girls ( they were born just one year apart) are daughters of Nels Lundstrom and Bengta Olsdotter.

This is Emily Lundun (or Lundeen)  or Mrs. Skoog.

Jacoby was in business in St. Peter, Minn from 1877 to 1879.

Emily Lundeen was born March 11 1862 in Minnesota. 
She married Andrew Skoog May 29 1893 in Minnesota.
Emily was a Country School Teacher.  She had two children John Lundeen Skoog born in 1898 and Esther Hildegarde who married Earl S. Erenbrak.
Emily died  September 18, 1951

This is William I. Krueger. He has kinda curly hair.

William Frederick Krueger (who was listed in the 1920 US census as William I.) born in 1874 to Daniel and Wilmenia 'Kreuger' in 1874 in Iowa.

William F. died in Cresco, IA in September 1965. He had nine children - so if (big if) this is "him" it's going to take a lot of digging!


Another possibility from Abra:
I found a different William I (or S, or D, depending on which census I am looking at). He was born in Minnesota and seems to have died in Minnesota, though he spent his working career in Chicago Illinois(1910 & 1920 census) and Detroit Michigan (1930 census) working as a telegraph operator. He was married to Kitty,; they had no children. I am sending a message to someone who has him in their tree to see if they can identify him.

Jo Button  lower and the photographer is Phillips Photography Lake City Minnesota.  Lake City had many photographers named Phillips.

John Phillips was there from 1878 to 1879, C.A. Phillips was there in the 1890’s and F. H. Phillips was there in 1902.  Many sons following in their fathers footsteps with photography.

I believe this is the same Edward that was born Jan 4th, 1945, in Los Angeles California. He is likely still living. I will see what I can do to find you some info on him. I believe his father may have been Linden Fogderud, who was born in North Dakota and died in California. (Edward had an older brother by the name of Linden as well). His mother's maiden name was Sanders. The Fogderud name is seen in Clay County MN and North Dakota, so it is likely the photo was sent to a relative in the area. ~Abra

When I was at the Antique Mall in Detroit Lakes the other day I found a perfect New Years photo.

I have never seen a magnum of champagne before..is it just a larger than normal bottle?  These ladies seem overjoyed..I wonder who has his glass or is he just going to sip out of the bottle?

Happy New Years Day!  Hopefully we will have another great year here on Forgotten Old Photos.  Thank you for reading and for your comments:)

Fabulous!....by the way these two ladies are dressed I would say this photo was taken in 1932 or possibly 1933, Prohibition was not repealed until December 1933....so, if I am correct, these guys would have been indulging in an illicit drink! Prohibition had become so unpopular during its final days that even this respectable, middle aged trio was happy to photograph their merry lawbreaking. 

P.S. A magnum is 2.5X the size of a standard bottle
