A 1920's dress, with straight sides and a dropped waist with a handkerchief hemline.  Her hat is not exactly a bell shaped Cloche..but a modified version.   Note: You can almost see her ankles..

I call this one..outside of Ma Morgans.   Sometimes you cannot see the forest for the trees. Anyway..back to the hats..these are Cloche hats..they were popular from 1908 to 1933.  Cloche is a French word for bell.  A proper Cloche hat covered the neck in the back and came to the eyebrows in the front.  I am not certain what to date this photo at..1930?

Ma Morgan's House 

Now that I have discovered this house..it is in the background of several other old photos..If we ever locate the Morgan Family..I have a bunch more photos for them. They are not marked with names..just the same house. This house has been speaking to me all this time..I am paying attention now.

Now we will begin a series of ladies and their hats.  This one seems out of place with the Fur coat.. I will guess that this was taken in the 1940's sometime.  Not many people wear furs anymore..I admired an elderly womans mink coat one day in church..she said " Sweetie, when you have had as many husbands as I have..you deserve a mink."

The Morgans.  They are a mystery.  I believe they lived in Duluth, Minnesota.  There is a Morgan Park in Duluth..but I cannot find a connection.

This is a photo I found last week in an Antique Shop..I picked up the photo and said "This is Ed Morgan, I would know him anywhere"..well the shop owner thought I was nuts...along with my husband.   I believe that this one was taken earlier than 1904..could it be the Bell Photographer that was in Duluth from 1887 to 1890? Probably not..but it could be a different photographer by the name of Bell in Minnesota in the early 1900's..as there were five studios that were named "Bell."  It might be his graduation from High School Photo..around 1898.  I think he looks younger than in the following photo.

The Morgan saga began with Photo number 11 with Edwin F Morgan in 1904...who Abra found out was a railroad clerk.

Then I had Photo Number 146 taken in 1913 who I believe might be John Hamilton Morgan on his graduation ..but it is just a hunch.

Now I will add these to the puzzle..

Hamilton and Ma and Pa Morgan. Can you see the resemblance between the fellow on the left (Hamilton) and the fellow in the graduation photo?   I can ..but perhaps it is my over active imagination.

Photo Number 153

This is a Real Photo Postcard.  It is an Azo with four triangles in the corners of the Place Stamp Here area  on the back...so I can date it 1904 to 1918.  Montrose Studio was located in Columbus, Ohio.  This may not be an Easter photo..but she has a basket..close enough for me!

I will be back on Monday.. I have a few photos in the Morgan family to share.  Would you all like to see a week of ladies in hats?  Or everyday images?  Well you will get both..sooner or later!

Cowboys on a dining room table on Easter morning.  This photo is small, 2 1/2 inches square ( Kodak Velox Paper) .  This photo was probably taken in the 1950's.

Several photos are going full circle, I am mailing two sets of photos today.  I will write about them going full circle when I hear back from the people I sent them to!  Check the side bar to find out which ones caught someones eye!
