This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.

 

Some of the mutts at home.  The boys are strangers to me.

Will make some blue prints of alf and send when I get time.  

Mable is the name on the address side of the postcard.

This is a NOKO postcard, they were used from 1907 to 1920.  I will guess this photo was taken 1910-1914.

That photo was mailed to Donna.  Full Circle 26

When I came across this photo I tried to contact her with no luck, then I tried to contact George with no luck.  Sue finally got in touch with Darrin at Ancestry.  Hopefully he will see this photo and we will hear from him. (Donna was a Granddaughter, George a Grandson and Darrin a cousin.)

This is what we know.

Iola Robbins is the daughter of Isabelle Barley and Judson Robbins. Judson and Isabelle were married Nov 10th, 1897.

Claude Lester Evans married Ilo Vivian Robbins on 27 Dec 1919 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Ilo was born on 23 Aug 1899 in Hutchinson, McLeod, Minnesota. She died on 26 Jun 2005. Claude died on 13 Mar 1978. They had four children in Saskatchewan, Canada, all of which are now deceased.
I hope this photo finds a home.  Perhaps Averl Robbins relatives will show up!

Good afternoon. Thanks to Sue for contacting me! What a great photo!

Averil Ellen Robbins is Ilo's younger sister. She was born in McLeod County, MN on 10 March 1903. She is on the 1916 Canadian census with her family, but I've lost track of her after that. She's not on the 1930 Minnesota census that Judson and Isabell Robbins and two of their children show up on.

Update from Dixie:
I am happy to tell you that they had 8 children--seven girls and a boy. And their oldest daughter who helped them raise the younger one's is my mother Arliene Jeanette (Evans) Stasiuk and she lives with me. She is 94 years old and still going. There are also three others still living. Fay (Evans) Moore is 85 and lives in BC, Canada. Pat (Evans, Shaw) Johnson is 82 and is living in Alberta, Canada. And Valerie(Evans, Gatherers) Fry is 76 and living in Idaho, US. I can send you a picture of my mom if you are interested. 

Also in Ilo's family, Ilo was the oldest, then Averil, then Virgil and lastly Charlotte. All mom remembers about why Judson and Isabel moved to Canada was that they wanted to get a homestead which they did in 1910 in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan, Canada. Judson was a photographer and a carpenter. He built the first school in that community and they called it Robbinsdale School. He also built a hall and it was named Robbinsdale Hall. 

Claude and Ilo moved to Canada at separate times and met and married there. They have a very big posterity. Mom has 21 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren. If you want any more information we would be happy to share it. Thanks, Dixie

The photographer is Wolf in Minneapolis. The Address was Cor.Wash & 20th Aves N

He was at 230 Twentieth Ave N from 1903 –1910 and then at 614 Twentieth Ave N in 1914.

Wm Parnell is the name on the front of the photo.

This is a photo from the antique shop in Floodwood Minnesota.

The photographer is Golling-Hesse in Mpls which is short for Minneapolis.  They were in business there from 1906 to 1932. 

The pigeon breasted look to her blouse and the hair suggest a photo taken 1906-1910.

This is marked Aunt May or if you look at it long enough it morphs into Aunt Mary.

She also sports a pair of Pince-nez rimless glasses.
