Edwards Bros of Albert Lea Minn were the photographers.

I found a Samuel Sherman Edwards at Edwards Bros from 1869 to 1884.

This Cabinet Card has decorative edges, sadly it is not marked.

This is an AZO postcard used from 1904 to 1918.  I will guess that this photo was taken 1904-1910.  The gown is slightly pigeon breasted and the hat is very large.

Birth 9 FEB 1896 is living in the same place as Lawrence in 1910 (Griggs County, North Dakota) with his brother Lorentz De Ferry Barclay.

A group of men posing with a tractor.  I believe it is a Blackhawk.  There is some kind of placque in the front. The pendants hanging from the ceiling may say Cockshutt a company from Brantford Ontario.

This is a photo from the antique shop in Laporte Minnesota.

The photographer was J Johnson in Detroit Minn.  Detroit was lengthened to Detroit Lakes in about 1926.  There was too much confusion between Detroit Minnesota and Detroit Michigan.

“It was not until 1926 that the townspeople voted to rename their municipality “Detroit Lakes”—many residents were tired of their mail and parcels being sent to the bigger and better known Detroit to the east.”

So Luella and Loren were born before 1926….unless the photographer was using up old cardstock.

The Minnesota Historical Society has John Johnson in business in Detroit Lakes in 1902.  They also say he worked until the 1940’s.
