This is a photo from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.

A small boy and a baby.

The photographer was Vosburgh Studio of Osage Iowa.  In 1911 Vosburgh left his son Harold in charge of the Photo Studio in Austin Minnesota and moved to Osage Iowa.  So we can date this photo after 1911.  The little boy seems to be wearing knickers or short pants which were quite popular through 1920.

A small baby in a wicker chair.

Harold Raymond Conkling  age 9 weeks  Born November 8, 1909.  So the photo must have been taken in early 1910.  The postcard is addressed to Mrs. Bidleman.

Photo Number 1213

This is a photograph from the antique shop near Erhard Minnesota.  It it the same size as a Cabinet Card, but it has been cut down from a larger photo frame.

A little boy sitting sort of strangely on a wicker stool.   Note the fur floor piece.  The boy wears a belted “suit” with short pants that was popular in the 1885 to 1890’s.  He wears a star at his neck, either as a necklace or a piece sewn to his shirt.

This is a Cabinet Card from a Flea Market.

The photographer was Stuart in Lisbon, Dakota.  North Dakota a became a State on November 2, 1889 so this photograph was taken before then.

Three cute little boys, the littlest one with a pair of those striped socks that were popular 1884 to 1889.  I wonder if the littlest one was told to put his hands in his pocket so that he would hold real still.
