This is a  photo from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.

The photographer was Galbraith in Minneapolis. He was an active photographer in Minneapolis from 1900 to 1915.

This young woman has a large bow in her hair and has flowers attached to the bodice of her gown and is holding a small book.  This is most likely a Confirmation photo.  Sadly there are no markings or names on the back of the photo.

Henry Van Sickel with young brother Hilton

I began this series of photos with a Hilton Van Sickel… a cousin of these children (I think).

I believe the children in this photo belong to Sanford Van Sickel and his wife Elizabeth Ervin Van Sickel. They had at least three children Henry Watson, Hilton J and Jennetta Claudia.

The same person that wrote on Sanford’s photo yesterday wrote on this photo of the two boys.

Not sure who wrote on the back of this photo.  The handwritting is a bit different from Violas.
This could be Harry B Van Sickel …who was born in 1858…or it could be someone else??   The postcard is most likely from the early 1900’s.  It is hard to tell with so little of the original postcard visible.
