Joseph Lyle Bourne age 1 yr 3 mo. Feb 19, 1911  and the postcard is addressed to Mrs. Bina Bidleman, Waterburg So. Dak.

This is an Artura Postcard that was used from 1910 to 1924.

He was a well-known soldier.

"Bourne was born on Nov. 19, 1909, at Wiota, Iowa, to Ernest Michael and Weltha Adeline (Kitty) Bourne. He spent most of his childhood on a farm near Madison. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in business administration. He married Averille Knepper on Nov. 16, 1934."

He died on Jul. 17, 2007.
He and his wife had four daughters.

Update from Gustavas: 

My Grandmother's sister. She was the daughter of George Hart, and Grace (Beaulieu) hart. From the Waubun Area. Their homestead was at what is now US 59, and 113 just East of Waubun, on the Northwest side of the intersection. Home is still there. 

Incidentally, Grace Hart is also in another of your pictures... the "6 girls in hats #983". Most likely they are "modeling" hats mad by Grace's mother-in-law, Jane B. (Wamsley) Hart, who was well known, and rather proud of the hats she made.

This photograph was developed in Cincinnati Ohio.   I am not quite sure what this long haired beauty is doing or where she is.  At a cottage?   Looks like there are spots of sand and a boardwalk.

This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes.

The photographers imprint says; Anderson Fargo.  There was a Charles W. Anderson that was in Fargo from 1919 to 1921 and a David Anderson that was in Fargo from 1924 to 1945.

The postcard was sent to Mrs.N. Iverson Fosston Minn.

This is an AZO card from 1918 to 1930, it could have been taken by either of the Anderson Photographers.

I hope this cute little boy with the long legs and the white button boots finds a home.

Melvin Oliver Tollefsrud (2 May 1917 - 16 May 1999 in Gardner, Cass, North Dakota) was the son of Helmer O. (1887 - April 16, 1980) and Oline (1889 - February 18, 1973) Tollefsrud. Melvin had a younger sister Myrtle May (abt 1922).

They are all buried in the same cemetery, Nora Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gardner, Cass County, North Dakota.

This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Moorhead Minnesota.

More than likely siblings.  Note the smallest boy has lace up shoes instead of button shoes. President Roosevelt proclaimed the high button shoe out in 1933, when he saw it listed in the cost of living index.  The children are all wearing heavy dark stockings.  The boys both seem to be wearing knickers.  The girls dresses have one shape fits all look to their dresses, they are both wearing strands of pearls and have bows in their hair.  I wonder what the older boy thought of that stiff collar?

This is an AZO card with triangles up and triangles down in the stamp box, so we can date it 1918 to 1930.

Louise Torgerson (b. April 3,1887 in Homedahl, Faribault, Minnesota - d. February 8, 1950 in James River Churchyard, Juanita, ND) married Nels Hans Molkjer (b: 1867) in 1909 and had a daughter from a previous marriage, Mabel Molkjer (b: 5 Feb 1907 d: Aug 1989), and with Nels, had Nels Molkjer Jr. 1910 – 1987, Ella Gina Molkjer 1912 – 1992, and Arthur Molkjer 1914 – 1982.

This very photo is in Ancestry.Com in several family trees. It is labeled (from left to right: Art, Mabel Salsbury, Nels Molkjer, Ella Molkjer).
