Since I work with young children, anything depicting children is fun, but I just love the hats, the cart, etc. I did a double-take on the little girl in the front seat. She closely resembles my four year old niece and my sister at that age. Too bad there are no names to work with--it would be wonderful to reunite this photo with a family! It would have been a thing of note back in its day, as cast iron spoked wheels and hubs like it appears to have, only came into existence around 1860-ish. I suspect the chairs are propped on top of it - they look like rocking chairs no less (oh my!) - so this cart might of been pulled by someone like a Bellhop at a hotel, loaded with baggage from the wharf or train station.Intense Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08441598926026727682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-26673292015612097432010-12-03T12:14:04.367-06:002010-12-03T12:14:04.367-06:00ok, i'm a native german speaker, but a family ...ok, i'm a native german speaker, but a family name, realy doesnt make sense in that context ;)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14801189013359747025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-13151323634560111412010-12-03T11:46:55.532-06:002010-12-03T11:46:55.532-06:00Hrafsi might be a family name - it is a Viking one...Hrafsi might be a family name - it is a Viking one - which may cross into german...
