The Historical Society does their best but often they are off a few years.
Yes they look to be three or four years apart in age.Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-20395529900933294842017-02-17T23:22:02.646-06:002017-02-17T23:22:02.646-06:00I did find a Louella (spelled wrong in census) and...I did find a Louella (spelled wrong in census) and Loren in 1900 census. Louella was 4 and Loren was 0. It it possible this photographer was operating in 1900--or could the picture have been added to the card later? This particular Loren and Louella lived in Lake Eunice township, Becker County, just west of Detroit Lakes. Do the two in the picture look like they could possibly be 4 years age difference? Seems possible to me.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01906952925403938979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-57455409320365541882017-01-09T22:42:05.376-06:002017-01-09T22:42:05.376-06:00I will guess that the photo is from 1902 to 1910.I will guess that the photo is from 1902 to 1910.Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-62673454097985290122017-01-08T18:57:27.862-06:002017-01-08T18:57:27.862-06:00Well, it looks like that county had a good number ...Well, it looks like that county had a good number of young Lorens resident there before 1926. And some Luellas, too. But no families with both in the same household that I could find, at least for the next census (1930). Perhaps the time frame reached way before those dates you pinpointed? When was that style of photograph frame prevalent?

It is a darling photo. I agree with Tired Teacher. It would be lovely for that photo to find its way home!Jacqi Stevenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471698670217119444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-84167963309543345132017-01-08T18:10:07.112-06:002017-01-08T18:10:07.112-06:00What a precious photo.
