I think in the article about swearing in Lyndon Johnson, the latter is referring to her friend and contemporary Judge Sarah Hughes. Either way, she had some interesting info out there. She was also in charge of prosecuting bootleggers in Texas according to a 1926 article I found. She is a fascinating person to google. :-) Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01906952925403938979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-59049590447560687032014-04-20T23:52:50.129-05:002014-04-20T23:52:50.129-05:00Yes we had two Kelloggs recently A.H Photo Number ...Yes we had two Kelloggs recently A.H Photo Number 1543 and Mrs A.A Photo Number 1497Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-58718753961669207802014-04-20T23:50:22.587-05:002014-04-20T23:50:22.587-05:00That was really interesting, Thanks Iggy:)That was really interesting, Thanks Iggy:)Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-26218369915738030842014-04-20T23:47:42.188-05:002014-04-20T23:47:42.188-05:00Yes I think you are correct!! I also took my cue from the extra loop in the middle name, so I totally agree.

What a pathetic yet adorable facial expression on that little one. If she did turn out to be who Iggy thinks (that was an impressive memorial in the link provided), even though she was childless, I imagine there would be someone out there interested in obtaining this childhood photograph of her! Cory (16 Dec 1885 - 15 Apr 1977) was the daughter of Charles Estabrook Cory and Ruth Emaline Kellogg (Didn't we have a Kellogg photo not too long ago?)

She married Harry Ernest Menezes and they lived in Dallas, Texas. They appear to have been childless. She was a lawyer and an assistant US Attorney. He was a public school teacher.

There is an interesting write up about her here, notably "The latter received national notice when she administered the Oath of Office to Lyndon Johnson following the assassination of president John Kennedy in Dallas."

http://www.las.iastate.edu/plaza/one_name.php?id=470Intense Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08441598926026727682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2320880361203053560.post-19044528169481842622014-04-20T11:23:43.986-05:002014-04-20T11:23:43.986-05:00The surname might be Cory instead of Ievry.
