Uncle Will Schwark or Schwack? Aunt Emma Alma
This is a AZO postcard that was used from 1904-1918.
Thanks for stopping by.
I'd go with Schwark. The "c" in "Uncle" is different than that last letter before the "k."There are some William or Wilhelm Schwarks out there, so not sure who might fit.So...do you suppose Aunt Emma is Uncle Will's wife? Or sister? And how does Alma fit in? The two women look about the same age to me. Which is which?
It could be that Uncle Will is married to Aunt Emma...and he was married before an Alma is his daughter? Or Will and Emma are brother and sister and Alma is a friend of theirs. The one on the right looks younger to me. :)
The one on the right looks very much like Will. Looking for an Alma, daughter of Will and Emma Schwark brought up one family tree at Ancestry, but no census records or other verification that I could find. That family lived in Cass County, North Dakota...but the tree is listed as private, so I couldn't check the details. Wonder if that would be this family?
Possibly this tree:https://www.ancestry.com/genealogy/records/johann-joachim-schwark_123907713
