  1. Well, there's no shortage of Johnson sisters by the names Charlotte and Edna...or King sisters, for that matter. Any idea as to time frame? Too bad that photographer's insignia didn't provide a location...

  2. Most of Google searches for Saunders as a cDV photographer seem to hit Alfred Centre, Friendship, New York OR in Algona, Kossuth County, Iowa. So working with that...

    ...I didn't get anywhere. :)

  4. Charolette B Johnson King had siblings Mrs Edith McCain and Preston Johnson. Two other siblings died prior to 1939 when their Father George Abbott Johnson died in 1939. Their mother was Josie Florence Vann Johnson. There is a grandchild of George and Josies named William Bertsch who may belong to one of the deceased. In the same Mendocino County Cemetery there is a Johnson unknown first name Unknown birth and a death date of Dec 18.1935.

    1. From your list of children in the census...Walter must have died and Edna must have married someone named Bertsch...unless her sister Edith was married twice.
Walter and Edna must be the children that died before 1939.
